In 2015, HCACC allowed outside rescue groups to pull 1,207 animals from the shelter. These private rescue groups adopted out as many animals as HCACC, which increased HCACC's Live Release Rate from about 21% to 32%. With a $1.2 million dollar budget, HCACC should have much better numbers than rescue groups' adoption rates.
